About Us

Beth and Jill have been successfully collaborating for the past ten years. Both are parents of adults with disabilities and bring personal experience of accessing and coordinating services to their work. This gives them an extraordinary edge of authenticity for many audiences. Feedback from recent participants in their workshops has said “this is the most useful training I have been to”. Beth and Jill both have post–graduate qualifications in Disability Studies. Their aim is to ensure quality provision of supports and services to all individuals and their families with a disability.


ABOUT JILL MASON

An agile and experienced director and owner of Disability Awareness Training, Jill Mason has extensive knowledge across compliance, quality service provision and risk management in diverse settings. Her clients, staff and colleagues value her as a robust analytical thinker that identifies, manages and mitigates risks at the strategic level.

Basing herself in Perth but providing services to Western Australia and the Eastern States, Jill initially focused on working in community-based human services before establishing a consultancy business a decade ago. Over the past 25 years, Jill has facilitated strategic change for clients, including commercial enterprises, leading for-profit and not-for-profit organisations. Jill holds an ongoing commitment to continuous education and personal development.

Jill provides consultancy along with tailor-made training providing workshops and presentations to both the private and public sector. Along with staff training, she also provides service design support, as well as direct assistance to families and individuals. She is currently working in collaboration with disability service agencies committed to inclusive participation for people with intellectual disability.

With her knowledge across commercial, community and government landscapes, Jill has been a leader whose vision, wisdom and compassion has been evidenced as an advisor and mentor to business owners, colleagues, senior staff, key business partners with a focus on collaboration and developing growth strategies in a planned cohesive manner.

Jill is acknowledged as a leader across the disability sector in Western Australia. She has specialist knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), National Injury Insurance Scheme (NIISQ) and the Insurance Commission of WA (ICWA) and the impact of sound strategic, financial and compliance management for disability support services.


ABOUT BETH MARCHBANK

Beth Marchbank is a qualified speech pathologist and has provided communication training and therapy to children and adults. After attaining a Masters Degree in Social Science, Disability Studies she branched into evaluation of services and training for service providers, people with disabilities and families/carers. Her eldest daughter has an intellectual disability so Beth has personal experience and understanding of daily living and supporting a person with disability.

Her organisation and consulting work since 1991, includes evaluation of disability services, service management, strategic planning and policy development. Beth has been a trainer/educator in disability issues since 1985, including disability awareness, and carer perspectives for service providers and workshops for people with disabilities and their families/carers in service and life planning; and building capacities for self-direction, community connection, and inclusion in education, work, and social life.
